Dining and Wining in Djurgården and Stockholm

There are restaurants in Stockholm in almost every block. There are today an estimated 1,500 restaurants and bars in Stockholm alone, but don´t forget to make table reservations and check opening hours.

Sales tax of 12% is included in bills; some restaurants also add a 10-15% service charge. If no service charge appears on the bill, a 10% tip is normal and expected. As all wines are imported to Sweden, they are subject to steep price hikes and added tax and therefore tend to be expensive.
In June 2005 Sweden made the decision already in force in Italy, Norway, Bhutan and various other places by introducing a ban on smoking in all restaurants, cafés and pubs. In the summer, smokers can go outside. Restaurants can provide separate smoking rooms, but no food or drink may be consumed in these rooms.
    Enjoy your meals in Stockholm!
